Bible Time-In this week’s lesson we will
talk how God sent an angel to deliver a special message to Zechariah
and Elizabeth. The angel told them they were going to have a
son and that they were to name him John. Even though they were
already old in age God still had a special plan for them, this
let’s us know that God can use anybody to carry out His
will! God sent John to prepare His people for the coming of the
Savior, Jesus Christ!
Reading/Phonics-This week students will begin
their letter E books. They will learn that it makes the /e/ sound
like elephant, its shape, how to write capital & lowercase
Ee, and will identify words that have the /e/ sound at the beginning
of a word. They will blend letter sounds to read words, associate
words with pictures, review /e/ and /a/ in the middle of a word,
and will review all letters & sounds learned up to now. They
will read and complete sentences and also read a story called
Ed’s Sled.
Math-During this week students will learn how
to Sort by Number, More and Less, Estimating Quantities, and
Problem Solving: Using a Graph.
Science-Students will begin a new chapter on
Matter and will learn about Grouping Objects.
Social Studies-This week students will learn
how Seasons Bring Change and will also learn about different
Community Homes.
*Daily Homework*:
Please make sure your child finishes their homework everyday
and returns it to school the next day in their Homework Folder.

Reading Book-This week students will take home
Book #5, What Can You Find? Please make sure you review the flash
cards with your child before he/she reads the book and that he/she
reads it at least once every day! It is very important that your
child is reading every day!! This will help to build a good habit
of reading that will hopefully continue as they grow! Don’t
forget to record the book and how many times it was read on their
Reading Log. Then turn it in once your it is filled in with 10
Books!
SNACKS
This week snacks will be provided by the Koussa Family. *Thank
you to the Yadao Family for last week’s snacks!* Thank You
for your support!
