Definitions should be taken from
their dictionary. Though the textbook does offer a dictionary,
I would prefer the children are accustomed to dictionary use.
Sentences need to use proper
punctuation and capitalization. The sentences must also be in
the proper tense.
English: This week we will compare using
adjectives by adding ??er, -est to the end of words. We
will then study the different forms of good and bad.
5th grade Math: Please encourage your child
to memorize the Order of Operations: Brackets, Parenthesis, Exponents,
Multiplication, Division, Subtraction, Addition. We will revisit
our lesson on equations this week. Afterwards we will create
Function machines to practice our skills.
